Charles B. Lanman recently retired from his position as Senior Vice President at Burke & Herbert Bank and Trust Company in Alexandria, Virginia where he oversaw the Trust Department which served all Trust, Estate, and Investment Advisory needs for the clients of the 25 branches of that bank. He has been actively involved with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) of Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Prior to heading up the Burke and Herbert Trust Department, Mr. Lanman worked in trust and estate administration for several of the Washington area's largest trust companies, including American Security Bank, Riggs Bank, and Suburban Trust.
Mr. Lanman brings over 35 years of trust and estate management expertise to Westbourne Investment Advisors.
Mr. Lanman earned a B.S. in political science from George Washington University and a J.D. from George Mason University. He is an active member of the Alexandria Rotary Club and volunteers with Iona Services and the Palisades Village Organization.
Blake Bath served as Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst for Lehman Brothers from 1996-2006, covering Wireline and Wireless Telecommunications Services. Blake's coverage included Regional Bell Operating Companies, rural Local Exchange Carriers, wireless service providers, long distance carriers, and tower companies. Blake made a highly acclaimed sector downgrade in September 2000 with his report entitled "The Overcapitalization of Telecom."
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1996, Blake was the telecommunications analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein from 1992 to 1996 and an analyst in the Strategic Planning and Corporate Financial organizations at MCI Communications from 1989 to 1992.
Blake's research efforts have been widely recognized in surveys of institutional investors. In 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 Blake was ranked on Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team. In addition, he placed in the top ten of the Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates poll for 14 consecutive years. Blake holds extensive industry relationships with major companies and senior policy makers in the telecom sector. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of public telecom company Cogent Communications Group, Inc. (CCOI). Blake received an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1988, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1984.
